Company Profile:

edp australia pty ltd specialises in the manufacturing and supplying of Fresh Produce Preparation, Packaging and Consumables for the both the local and export markets.

Objective of Role:

The machinery & service technician responsibilities will be to deliver on time and successful pre-delivery, installation and commissioning of both imported and manufactured packaging equipment. After sales service and customer support is vital in this role ensuring expectations are met on job completion.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Pre-deliver and install manufactured and imported equipment
  • Provide technical support to customers via phone, email and in person
  • Travel to site on short notice (at times) to resolve break downs
  • Prepare and wire basic circuits
  • Assemble and check list manufactured equipment
  • Liase with the spare part division for ordering and supply of spares
  • Complete all relevant service reports and installation documents

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Deliver successful machinery installs on time and budget
  • Ability to generate and deliver ongoing maintenance visits and support
  • Effective time management and documentation
  • Liaise and contribute to a team environment that delivers profitability and results

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Trade Qualification
  • Demonstrated experience of maintenance and servicing of machinery
  • Fork Lift and Current Drivers Licence
  • Experience with pneumatic componentry and logic control
  • Proven track record of being deadline focused and driven to deliver an outcome on time
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suit (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
